well said, man. i’m working up a review for perpetualpost.com right now. worried i may be too lenient with Brooklynites in general… and I’m DEFINITELY a crotchety formalist. to me, original Brooklyn flow will ALWAYS be the hardest, most funkiest, most rappiest.

This is surreal, And really deep: I’m listening with one ear to a NPR (Dick Gordon’s “This Is The Story”) interview with an artist talking about his meeting, as a young man, the painter Andrew Wyeth, and about Wyeth’s work…

…and at the same time I’m reading the work of one of my favorite writers, Drew Breez…and marvelling at true genius.

I was wrong how? I said I could see him becoming popular, and even how his packaged look has appeal to the legions of teen fans who will hear him through overexposure. Do I think he really merits the incredible hype he’s getting however? No.
